Mr Leonardos joined Guerra IP as a Partner in December 2014. Mr. Leonardos has a long history of working with Guerra IP, as the firm was an affiliate firm to Momsen Leonardos over the past 25 years supporting the southern region of Brazil.
Mr. Leonardos has been handling technology law and licensing since 1985, and his work has resulted in precedent setting work in the IT industry, specifically within IP regulatory work and software rights associations. As one of the founders of the Brazilian Association of IT Law, he actively participated in the discussion of Brazilian software law. He is internationally recognized as an expert in IT work in Brazil and has spoken on panels with some of the leading industry technology leaders during the establishment of Brazilian intellectual property law.
His practice is not limited to IT law; he has represented international companies in many industries from luxury to pharmaceuticals, and his knowledge of Brazilian intellectual property law is appreciated. Mr. Leonardos and his team have traditionally worked with large United States corporations as well as many of France’s largest companies. Mr. Leonardos has helped several national and international companies to achieve their goals in Brazil by providing strategic advice on IP licensing, technology transfer, IP Start-Ups, patents, trademarks, copyrights and judicial procedures among others.
