The Brazilian intellectual property community regards Mr. Leonardos as one the finest IP legal minds in the country, and his partnership at Guerra IP will spark dramatic expansion in the patent department. Mr. Leonardos has a long history of working with Guerra IP, as the firm was an affiliate firm to Momsen Leonardos over the past 25 years supporting the southern region of Brazil. Mr. Leonardos has been handling technology law and licensing since 1985, and his work has resulted in precedent setting work in the IT industry, specifically within IP regulatory work and software rights associations. As one of the founders of the Brazilian Association of IT Law, he actively participated in the discussion of Brazilian software law. He is internationally recognized as an expert in IT work in Brazil and has spoken on panels with some of the leading industry technology leaders during the establishment of Brazilian intellectual property law. His practice is not limited to IT law; he has represented international companies in many industries from luxury to pharmaceuticals, and his knowledge of Brazilian intellectual property law is appreciated.
